From the turn of the century Suffragettes to the modern day #MeToo movement: Virginia & the Woolfs take us on a hundred year journey, tracking women's changing role in society through the songs they sang and listened to.
The show features the stories and music of the greatest female performers of their time: Bessie Smith, Ella Fitzgerald, Edith Piaf, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Gloria Gaynor, Annie Lennox, Alicia Keys and Amy Winehouse.
